A “Unite the Right” rally was planned for Friday, August 11 to protest against the removal of a statue of Confederate icon General Robert E Lee. Protestors came from all walks of life to protest this event. The peaceful protest then turned violent. A man drove his car into the crowd resulting in 1 death and many people suffered injuries.

Join us as we discuss this along with the state of racism and racial tension in our nation. Also as we discuss President Trump response to this violence and blatant bigotry.

The Divided State of America

Well, if you’re paying attention to the news you know what’s going on in Charlottesville, VA. White nationalist rallied on a college campus in the name of white supremacy.

They were met by protesters who were against the hate speech that the white nationalist were spewing. The situation became hostile and deadly when one of the white supremacist got in his car and plowed dozens of people over  and killing one woman. Some say the rhetoric of the POTUS is the cause.

Do we believe President Trump is to blame? Or were we just being naive in thinking that we were living in a post- racial United States of America? Will the civil unrest in this country weaken us in the eyes of our enemies abroad?

This country is going through an identity crisis. We may not have to worry about any threats from N. Korea. We may just burn this motherfucker down ourselves if we aren’t careful.
